I had the same hope when I was Katy’s age, and that was several decades ago.

Even worse, that nearsightedness is called presbyopia, which literally means “old eyes.”

East some carrots, that will improve your eye sight, or at least that’s what my mother kept telling me. Then she would back it up by saying you never see a rabbit wearing glasses, do you? Mom was a hoot!

Somebody explain why trying to read on that itty-bitty screen is better than picking up a book or a newspaper.

As someone older than me several years told me, “Growing old ain’t for sissies”. Man was he right. It isn’t for sissies, but it sure beats the coward’s way out.

Old age lets us laugh at the young, for, like Katie, who ever thought he or she would end up this way?

When I was shooting photographs with my slr in cold weather I was disappointed at how blurry parts of the pictures were in the preview screen. Then I figured out I was looking through the fog caused by my nose next to the screen as I held the camera up to look through the viewfinder.
