You know, that big bunch of colorful tail feathers is only on the male, to use as a mating attraction, like with most birds.

That means that is one effeminate male turkey there on the left. :)

He kicked his dating habit by going cold turkey.

Once I saw saw a sparrow strut, he looked like a Thanksgiving table decoration.

Or it could be a female turkey borrowing male plumage. That would help explain why she’s uninterested in the male. Do turkeys got softball leagues?

That’s one way to get “shot down”, at least he could walk away from this one.

Also she doesn’t have a wattle; she does have long eyelashes.
