I can see myself wearing one of those someday. A side benefit is my wife would have a conniption fit. I can hear my side of the story now, “You wear pants, why can’t i wear a skirt, I mean kilt?”
Around this part of New York, there are quite a few kilt wearers. Not for everyday use, mind you, but special occasions. There are the bagpipers, of course, but I did a wedding once where all the men of the wedding party were in kilts.
For anyone of Scots/Irish decent you might want to take a look here https://sportkilt.com … good entry level stuff and no, you will not find a ‘great kilt’ here; For those you want a good shop in Edinburgh…and fifteen to seventeen yards of Scottish woolen plaid will set you back a shiny pence or more.

I wouldn’t have guessed Clyde being Scottish. (If Clyde were Pacific islander, he’d be wearing the “skirt” known as a lava-lava.)

Try it, Earl, you may like it. And I am sure Opal will have a few words to say too.

That’s not a proper kilt….. it’s one of those Victorian things.

Go on Earl, try a skirt, it won’t kilt you.

Funny how most women are finding that pants are more comfortable…probably because they (and kilt wearers) don’t have to wear pantyhose under them.

It is not a kilt. It is baggy, old man shorts!

If ye calls it a skirt again, ye be Kilt!

To skirt means to go around, so yes, technically a kilt does skirt.

They are totally comfortable!

My understanding is that kilt wearers “go commando”, to put it politely, so it should be comfortable, except in Scotland’s cold winters!

What’s the old joke about how many canaries can hide under a Scotsman’s kilt. Depends on the perch.
