    Yes, honey contains enzymes added by the worker bee, so “bee spit” is definitely involved. But she holds the nectar (honey-to-be) in a special “honey crop”, not the stomach she uses to digest food.

    Honey is also a fine antibacterial substance. One of the proteins has been found to be effective against MRSA.

    honey, the only food I know of that never goes bad. there is rumor that honey was found in the ancient tombs of the Pharaohs, and was still edible
