Now why would you set that up and not be prepared to go?

That’s right. Blame Michael, when EVERYONE was part of the problem.

I’m thankful that I had no problem meeting my son’s teachers. They want you to help out teaching your child but then butt out when they say so. When I had enough of them failing at teaching my son, I told them so. And then took my son home for homeschooling. And boy is he smart!! I knew he was, just didn’t know he was this smart.

I can, unfortunately, say with experience that the best way to get teachers to be completely honest at these conferences is take a recording device.

As old as Mrs. Hardacre is, I wonder if maybe Elly is afraid to face her alone because she herself had that exact same teacher years ago when she was a child and has just never gotten over that little girl fear (of this particular teacher) even though she’s now grown up with children of her own.

Dad should go anyway. If Michael is a mama’s boy, he may expect that from the chair.

GretchensMom: In the FBoFW mythos, Ellie grew up on the other side of the continent in BC. It’s unlikely she was Ellie’s teacher.
