We seldom go to the movies. My daughter is autistic (high functioning), but loud anything is an anxiety trigger, plus rapid movement causes motion sickness in both my husband and my daughter, so, no movies for us. We do videos where the sound is adjustable and the movements reduced in size (no longer all encompassing). I would LOVE to go to movies, but not fun without the family. :o(
And boy, they do go for the big and loud these days. I used to live near and Imax with a six story high screen. Recently, the multi-plex by me (the only one within 40 miles of here) added a theatre called ‘The Cube.’ Huge screen, and cushy chairs that lean back. Saw The Last Jedi there, and it would not have been good for someone with a sensitivity to noise and motion.

Note that “Wonder Woman” didn’t get any nominations.

Why can’t they award best picture Oscars by category? Best Drama, Best SciFi, etc.. It’s really not fair to compare various types of films.

Nonsense, it is clearly racism or something like that. That movie was clearly the best thing since sliced bread (not).

Wasn’t history made when “Beauty and the Beast” (a Disney animated film) was nominated for Best Picture, a category for live-action films?
