Hey, dolls can be fun. I used to train as a surgeon on mine. It was a bit disappointing that there was nothing inside. For some reason people kept offering me dolls instead of the really interesting toys that were stupidly reserved for boys (it was in the 60’s) so my skills grew quickly.
That was one of my father girls. She would chew a tiny hole in it, then pull the stuffing out through the hole. They would come home to fuzzy snow all over the living room.
Teddy Boy was the perfect angel from day one. He gets a stuffed toy every Christmas and has not destroyed any of them. He has seven stuffed toys, although I think his problem is a sex addiction. He humps them all even though he is neutered. He seems to have all his stuffed toys trained to be submissive. I guess they all have their quirks, and we love them just the same.
Our lab tore apart his toys (even the ones touted for tough chewers) when he was a pup, then he grew up and was content to play with other dogs. Our newly adopted shiba, on the other hand, is a senior, acts like a puppy, and tears apart any toy within MINUTES of receiving it. He is insane. I have made a couple toys with rescued squeakers, and one of them lasted 2 whole weeks before he killed it. He is very determined.
My rescue dog Toby (Shih Tzu, Cocker Spaniel mix) loves to tear apart squeaky toys. Most don’t last long. Best ones I’ve found are made by Kong and are tennis balls with squeakers. He loves for me to throw them so he can find it and make it squeak before bringing it back for more.
My Chewy was indifferent towards his squeaky toy until I bought an identical one for my little daughter – she envied it! Then Chewy grabbed his toy and wouldn’t part with it.

I feel that way when I buy a doll for my granddaughter.

Strange. I have 2 dogs both are rescues and they don’t play with stuffed toys or squeakies or balls. They seem happy but just don’t play. Curious.

I just remembered. One of them likes chasing the red dot along with the cats.

I can’t tell you how many stuffed toys our Lab destroyed – including ones that were NOT hers!

Reminds me of my best slippers. I only left him alone for five minutes.

I have bought some very durable dog toys at the Dollar Tree store. A few have lasted for many months.

With my beagle/terrier, an “indestructable” plastic chew bone lasted three months.
