Me, too. Add, subtract, multiply, divide; give me a spreadsheet, a balance sheet, an income statement, an annual report; but, don’t ask me to do algebra, calculus, or trigonometry.
Really? I loved algebra! Makes perfect sense to me…on the other hand, I could never make sense out of bookkeeping, with its Debit/Credit/left hand/right hand stuff.
Guess there’s just a fundamental difference in the way some people’s brains are wired.
I would love it if the powers that be would duel track kids through school. Let’s face it, not all kids get higher math and frankly how many of us use trig and calc in the real world? Let the kids who will go on to be scientists and engineers and such take the upper level math and the rest of us stop at algebra. I say at algebra because it teaches logic to solving problems which more people need these days.

C’mon Aunty! Thank goodness for the letters – who’d want to deal with them boring numbers all the time? :)

I got quite good at algebra, over 40 years ago. The only thing I remember now is cross multiplying.

Makes sense since you are a tad iffy with the alphabet.

Definitely agree, but numbers have always been my nemesis.
