Know what I just noticed? Whales in popular culture have been shown as big as blue whales, but with the appearance of a cachalot. The latter is the only species capable of swallowing a human, even if they have never done so, or at least there is no convincing proof. Additionally, their lower jaw is always drawn wider, like in here.
Little does Lio know what lies in wait for him in the dark depths. In other words, I don’t think that’s “bait”; rather it is the “catch.” But the catch with “the catch” is that it’s not caught until landed. It seems more likely that Lio will be watered….
