P3: “You see, Gil, all that Cody needed was a chance to get away from the stress of sports. So, we gave him a map of Milford so he could find a park in which to relax when he feels stressed over his dreadful childhood. As a matter of fact, he’s not here now because he’s at the park!”
P1: “To snap out of this drunk, I mean funk”
P3: Lutherans to the rescue - as usual!
Missing Panel: Gil and family wishing us and ours a “Happy Thanksgiving” in a fancy girly script font.
Whatever happened to the Thorp family taking time out to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving? I guess Gil would rather spend time with someone’s foster mother! I officially quit this strip! So sad.
Let’s hear it for Uncle Marty, who knew not what he wrought when he nailed those 99 Theses on the door. And yes, I’m Lutheran, ECLA if you want to get technical. I’m sure the other denominations have social services, but you only really hear about the Catholics and Lutherans.
And Cody’s just in time to be the baker boy in the annual Saint Lucia festival … handin’ out all the goodies to the little kids … but those Lutherans better double-check his brownies.
I am so bummed. For years the Thorp’s took time out to wish us all a Happy Thanksgiving. Usually there was a fire in the backround with ALL the Thorp’s, including the kids and dog. I supposed there will no Christmas time picture in front of the tree either. What happened to tradition?
You should really just consider quiting the strip…

The plot twists tomorrow, when we discover these are actually the Luthorans, a crime organization run by Superman’s arch-enemy.

Don’t forget the family dog that looks like Toto. He’s been M.I.A. for awhile.
