My often reply to the “suggestion” of a tip is “What angle shall I tip you to?”
The guy who delivered my new TV was angling for a tip. Everyone has a hand out. I asked him if he left his engine running, and as he rushed out the door to check, I said, “Thanks for the delivery.” and shut the door.
