Ah… reminiscent of the old Rich Hall bit. He coined the word “sniglets, words that should be in the dictionary, but aren’t”, during the run of “Not Necessarily The News” on HBO from 1983 to 1990. Had 3 books published. Very funny.
I’ve heard of “red up”, but figured it came from the word “ready”, as in getting ready for company.
How about “fixin’ to” - seems to be a Southern U.S. expression which means “going to” (as in doing a task, not traveling).
