UofR got the first computer from IBM and Microsoft program and since I was the young one I had to learn how to use it. Best thing that ever happened as after we left and moved to CA I got jobs very quickly as no one knew how to use the computers. I knew WP back then forward and back, and since most legal offices used it back then, they were thrilled. I can still remember the look on Gene’s (the senior partner) when he said we are out of pleading paper and I said no we aren’t I didn’t order any. I told him put the blank legal paper in the printer and proceeded to print it out of Word Perfect….I got the biggest bonus ever given out at Christmas that year….$500…..

If you want peace of mind, don’t turn it back on.

If it were a typewriter, it would just need more ink.

Does rebooting the computer mean kicking it again?

Maybe the problem with the computer is BTCATK : Between The Chair And The Keyboard.

Probably best if you didn’t turn it back on.

Alas, my sympathies are with Opal on this one. Those of us “of an age” frequently have trouble keeping up with new technologies.

Turning it back on is an option. It’s entirely up to you. But if you want to read GoComics, you’ll need it.
