San Diego Zoos Wild Animal Park: $52 each for admission, $15 parking, a soda or ice tea $5.95, popcorn $6.95, ice cream cup $4.99, ice cream in a big cone $9.95, and for only $12 per exhibit you can by-pass the line! We took water bottles and snack packs.
The place is HUGE and it is up and down hills. It was 75F today, in the summer it can get up to 115F .
We took the tram around ( they show you animals on the hills and kind of near, Cheetas, Birds, Impalas, a rhino etc. and then we walked to each exhibit. Gorillas up close, elephants far away, small things behind glass and a trio of 10 week old cheetah. According to my Fitbit I walked 4 miles!
Good evening Gweedo + Mudd and to all you squeaky escapees!_ Been shoveling (snow) all day. Pooch had the most fun day of the year bouncing around outside. He’s gonna be 11 April 5th but you’d never know it today. Man, those are huge flakes coming down! Bah!!!! Hey Mice….I’ve got some tiny snow shovels and can use all the help I can get in exchange for a great meal and warm cozy place to bed down for the night…oh, and a security team to, uh, watch over you.
If I hadn’t spent so much time watching British TV shows on PBS, I wouldn’t know what “went off” means. I think the first time I heard it was on “Fawlty Towers”. I know it happens to guns, bombs, and TV stations, but I never heard of food going off before. (I gather the Canadians pick and choose which Britishisms they will use and which not, like “tyre” and “kerb”.)
Many, many, many years ago, I bused tables in a coffee shop (what we would call a “diner” now) that had a bad, off-again-on-again mouse problem. I used to tease the cook and wait staff with bad puns. One time I ordered the “portermouse” steak.

Yes, the cook brought me a grilled mouse.
