Old “Hee Haw” joke (heck, a really old JOKE!): “Our music teacher told us, our talent never ends. But then he went and told us, it never did begin!”

I’ve always found it interesting how “Summer of ’69” has a distinctive 80’s feel to it. Nothing wrong with that, but you’d think a song dealing with 1960s nostalgia would have more of a retro ’60s sound, like it was sung by the Beach Boys or the Beatles.

That song is always playing at the community pool where I live.
