When I was a little girl one of my favorite pastimes was to sit on the floor, pull my knees to my chest, and spin around on my bottom. Hadn’t thought of that in years. (Maybe I’ll teach the great-grandkids that trick. Their mums will love it.)
Well this brings one back for me. We had this one beagle years ago we’d originally named ‘Baby’. But as she grew up she was so spoiled we started calling her “Stinky Rotten Pootie” which evolved into just plain ‘Pootie’. I used to play ‘spin the Pootie’ with her on the kitchen floor. She’d come over and roll over on her back at my feet. Then I’d say ‘spin the Pootie’ and spin her clockwise, then counter clockwise. She would still lie there and I’d say ‘slide the Pootie’ and shove her across the floor. She’d lay on her back looking at me and then it was ‘spin the Pootie again!’…… she run back to me, roll over on her back and wait to do it again. She was a very good and very funny little dog! This was just one of several rituals we had. Another one was when she’d sit in a chair opposite me and stare at me like Snoopy in the tree imitating the vulture.

A few moments of motion sickness will fix the wax floor problem right up.

As a kid, I used to run with socks and slide on the waxed wood floors in my house. That is until a 6" splinter skewered my foot.
