Filmed in 2003, it stars Michael Caine, and Robert DuVall
It’s a light comedy
Clue: A pair of eccentric Great Uncles teach a timid grand nephew a few things about life.
I hope Slim is doing all right, and davidf’s freind is doing well.
ML: I’ve got about seven different “Chirstmas Carol” movies.
My favorite being the George C. Scott performants.
Just saw the latest with Jim Carry, a nice do with it.
SWEETBILL: I gather that the Giants were unable to get to Miniappalos (man if I got that right), guess both teams were blessed.
Well I guess that’s all the news that’s fit to print.
The Dolphin/Jets game was interesting. I wonder what the NFL will do to that assistant coach. Nothing good, I hope.
For those that haven’t seen it yet, the Jets’ strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi deliberately tripped Dolphins’ cornerback Nolan Carroll when he was running down the sideline during a play. Carroll was hurt a little, but rejoined the game later.
ML, I love the Muppet Christmas Carol as well. Makes me feel a little old to call it a classic, though. Now Alistaire Sim’s version - there’s a classic.
dkram, I too have multiple versions of “A Christmas Carol”. The best one? The book, by far. My favorite movie version? The above mentioned Alistaire Sim version originally titled “Scrooge” and featuring a very young Patrick Macnee (think John Steed) as a very young Jacob Marley.
I am still alive. not well yet, but temp is almost down to normal (97.4+/-) I can’t remember if I even turned my computer on Sat. Did last night long enough to change my avatar, nothing more. Just couldn’t get into it.
Still a bit spaced out. Still a lot of pain. I wouldn’t take a pain pill Sat. or Sun> because I wasn’t eating. (don’t say it)
I tried and my stomach refused rto accept it.’Drank a lot of water, and almost a quart of mikk, to, before i ran out’.
I never realized that I could hurt so much in so many places. I’m trying to eat a bowl of oatmeal, with powdered mils and dry creamer, so I can take a heavy duty pain pill. I’ve eaten more than half the bowl, and my stomach is beginning to give warning signs. Going off-line now, back later.

Jan………I saw that particular incident on replay.
I was appalled. The NFL needs to deal with that situation swiftly.
