well, at least this century the California’s rainforest will dissapear, like other rainforests. Also 1/3 of the CO2 that will be released by those rainforests (when dying) will be absorbed by the ocean, increasing PH, (H- radicals ) which affects coral reefs, 9,000 marine species depend on corals to survive. (world’s largest coral reef is constantly bleeching: probability of survive less than 50%). Lot of marine species will dissapear too.

The older generation of trees is burning the encroaching homes and people so the next generation of trees can have a better life.

Current estimate is there are 3 trillion trees and that number is going down, but not in the US. There are more trees in the US now then there were 100 years ago. In fact, the number of trees in the US has gone up steadily since WWII.

Not to worry. Billionaires will just buy as many trees as they want.

Of every 1,000 live trees over ten feet tall in Wisconsin this year, 80 will die from severe weather, insect damage, crowding, disease or old age. Only 4 of the thousand will be harvested by loggers. However, 98 new trees will grow past the ten foot mark during the year. Therefore, in Wisconsin, annual wood growth exceeds harvest for most species.
