I believe the BB has a 14 cylinder engine so she can prowl and run very fast.

looks like the artist got the action confused. The Hornet DID have his gas gun out, and, aimed at Topper. But it was Casey, as the Red Wasp (mustn’t forget the color adjective, Marvel might sue,) who fired the smoke bomb from Black Beauty’s arsenal of tricks.

Topper gets out but Tracy and Sam don’t? If they were real cops, they’d have had backup waiting outside and GH and Topper wouldn’t have made it to their cars.

“Lay tracks? Shouldn’t we just get the heck out of here?”

Perhaps because Tracy and Sam have a key witness in hand and know the identity of the culprits, there is no need to endanger the case by running a high speed chase.

I think Casey’s enjoying herself.

Okay; now we’ve got Wally is to Topper as Red Wasp is to Green Hornet; but unfortunately for Topper, Wally’s rig is not comparable to the Black Beauty. The green gas, panel 1 explicitly states, is from GH’s gas gun; quite a large charge! And as GH hurdles himself into the rear seat, a smiling Red Wasp powers up Black Beauty to make a clean getaway.
