Yep! I reuse them as litter bags (after I scoop the cat litter), bathroom trash bags (I found metal mesh pails at Target for $1 each so I bought one for each bathroom and I line them with shopping bags), and I store them under my kitchen sink for various things in there (disposing of grease, fish bones, etc).
yes, as grocery stores are now charging for bags, including walmart and the dollar store. I grab 2-3 bags to stuff in my purse on the way to grocery shop. Also they are my kitchen garbage bags and kitty litter bags.
We all do (BTW, that is a good thing as it indicates the they are probably being recycled. Also, a Catholic Church in our town weaves them into homeless people blankets!)
Yes, and I also used to keep my rubber bands in a regular sandwich bag, kept closed with a… rubber band! ☺ (I now store them in one of those fancy-schmancy slide-close sandwich bags)
Just A plastic bag full of other plastic bags? Try at least a half a dozen plastic bags full of other plastic bags! Or at work, what I have is a “bag ball.” I wad up one bag, wrap the next one around it, and the next around that and so on. Then when I need one, I take it off the outside. My grandma was always so neat about saving bags. She’d flatten and fold them and keep them in a box.
You can’t even get plastic bags in the county I live in here in Portland, OR. We use sturdy re-usable bags or paper bags. It’s strange to go to a store in an area that still uses plastic bags now. The stores in the area still allow small plastic tear off bags for produce or meats. They do make great “poop” bags for the dog.
I think the wife has a breeding program for those bags. They multiply like crazy! Just the other day I took one bag and completely filled it stuffed full of other bags and threw it away and still have tons of bags left. It’s almost ridiculous!
Had to repair the kitchen faucet last week. Found 6 plastic bags full of plastic bags. Tossed 5 of them. Big mistake, wife not happy, I’ll never hear the end of it.
I use them for can liners, to transport donations to the library food drive, and any extras I donate to the local charity thrift store. Before I found out they needed bags, I recycled them at the grocery store. One thing that annoys me mightily about one of my roommates is his insistence on throwing away money – he BUYS trash bags! If they ever outlaw plastic grocery bags around here I’m going to accuse the government of robbing me.
Yep—same here. I currently have two plastic bags full of plastic bags, and each of those two is inside a giant plastic bag. Ow—I think my head just exploded … ha.

How else are you going to accumulate them for eventual transport to the plastic bag recycling bin in front of the grocery store?

Two.
One for re-cycling, one for re-purposing.

I do. I always forget to grab them when I go grocery shopping. One time I filled the whole recycle bin!

Either re-use or I take them to Kroger’s to recycle.
