If everything Midas touched turned to gold, why did his clothes not change to gold?! Similarly, if the third cousin turns everything to bronze with his touch, his clothes should also be bronze. And while I am at it, how can they eat anything if everything turns to gold or bronze? Those are all the things I thought about when I first heard these stories. I know: I am weird.
