You are so right! Years ago I pledged $15 just to get rid of one caller. Within a month, beginning at 9am the phone was ringing off the wall! Did some research and found that one caller was working for a charity that benefited only a small section of northern Illinois – but they were soliciting the whole state! And one even had an efficiency rating of less than 1%. And one was asking support for a donkey basketball team in Colorado! Is it any wonder many of us have dropped the landline and now only respond to known numbers?
