No wonder Snoopy’s annoyed— it’s Beethoven’s Ecossaises in E flat, but the bird has left off the key signature and is doing them as if they were in C. That, and the fact that he’s doing successive lines simultaneously, would drive many of us to suppress it, though I’m pretty sure Charles Ives would approve wholeheartedly.
I tried to play Woodstock’s music on my flute. The cat ran from the room, & dog began to howl when I picked up bagpipes. Not a piano player so have no idea what it sounds like. But one line is a good 5-string banjo lick.

Probably allegro vivace or prestissimo. Not very appropriate for someone who wants to sleep.

And someone out there somewhere with way more musical ability than I have will sit down at a piano and actually play that piece.

Woodstock should get together with Schroeder.

Does Woodstock sing like he flies? If so, he may be a Warbler.

Hang out with Schroder, Woodstock. He appreciates that sort of thing.

I agree. Too early in the morning, to want to hear that.

Wow. Wodstock is one heck of a singer – four staves with chords! I would have though it impossible for a single singer to pull that one off.

I love Snoopy’s expression in panel five. It is as if he was thinking “I didn’t set the alarm?!”
