From Proverbs 27:14 (you know, Proverbs, stuff that was old news 3000 years ago)He that blesseth his friend with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, it shall be counted a curse to him.
Sigh. . . . I have often been told that I was disgustingly cheerful. . . . to go away for an hour or two. . . . when I did venture into the dragon’s lair, I #$%&^!! better have coffee.
If I were confronted by an Opus like that at 5:56 AM, there is a very real chance I would commit penguincide and have penguin bacon for breakfast several hours later, after a morning nap….

First, it was Garfield and Mondays. Now, it’s Opus and Tuesday.

The 4th panel reminds me of Cory Merritt’s Lost Side of Suburbia cartooning with that one very open eye and the body language.
