It’s an illogical tweet anyway. The book has pages, not her life.
Pages of one’s life is rather poetic. May blank ones be few.
I’m not sure why that’s a trip the principal’s office. An “F” should suffice. She’s welcome to her opinion, but her report didn’t support it.
I used to tell students there was no such thing as a dumb question. Every now and again they’d do their best to prove me wrong.
It was a gallant effort, child, a gallant effort. Don’t lose that.
She was flunked for not knowing that you can’t use ampersands in hashtags.
In HS I once turned in a one-page book report, and a nosy classmate questioned my high grade. The teacher pointed out I managed to get everything into that one page. I didn’t turn prolix until later in life.
When I was told to write a 150 word essay on (BLANK), I usually got the job done in 100.
In the minor seminary, my Latin teacher was also the Dean of Discipline – loathed and feared, by all, for both reasons.
Ironically, he was the one who gave me the best recommendation for college – much to my amazement, and chagrin.
Life is the real punishment emporium.
