This strip needs an updated, modernized “touch”:1) Brutus loses his corporate job and ends up working three menial jobs (say in a convenience store) to pay the bills.2) Gladys cheats on him, then divorces him, taking him to the cleaners in divorce court.3) He ends up living alone in dingy studio apartment.
This would be “The Born Loser, 2018 version”
Face it, by today’s standards, he’s a winner. He has a steady, full time job and his marriage is intact.
