I met the mother of our (now retired) ministers wife once. It was a WWII romance, where, sadly, the dad never came back from his only tour. The mom was a hoot. She kept insisting “I only did it once!”. Yes, she was getting on in years. Not a real strong relationship between mother and daughter, either.
