Good morning Crew! Well, if more Crew doesn’t get here, the Revenge is going to sink. Me, Fellow Baby, and NikkiCatt1 can’t hold the place together by ourselves, you know.
In my little house, the hallway is short. It goes from the kitchen/living space to a back bedroom. Half way down that hall is two doors, directly opposite each other. One goes to the master bedroom, the other to a second bath and the laundry room.
First time I encountered this was with Misty the Cocker Spaniel, who lived in a shotgun duplex in Queens with college friends of my mother. They had us over for dinner one evening, and as dinner was being brought to the table Misty installed herself squarely in the doorway ‘twixt kitchen and dining room. I don’t know if she accidentally tripped someone once and got a windfall or what. Now, with my very iffy knees, I play twister with my dogs trying not to kill either them or myself when navigating around.
Sweetheart is very well behaved when i’m working in the kitchen. When i go in, she follows me to see whats up, but if i tell her to get out of the way she goes and lays down outside of the kitchen and watches me from there.

It may be unwritten, because dogs can’t write, but it is a rule.

That is the TRUTH.

That is one of her favorite places to lie down.

Don’t forget kitchens. I can’t do anything in a kitchen without stepping over dogs. Nothing. That is the food room. There is food, there will be dogs.
