That reminds me of when I was a kid and worked on the yard crew. One guy would disconnect the spark plug wire pull the cord a few times and it wouldn’t start of course so he would just sit there and wait for the boss to come by and help him out. What a tool!
Two of my female cousins were going to mow our Grannie’s yard. They got out the mower, filled it with gas, started it up, and mowed about 20 feet when the engine locked up! When asked if they checked the oil level, two blank looks! Luckily our Uncle was on his way up and stopped in a K-Mart and bought a brand new mower which I got to use! And got to keep when Grannie passed on. It finally “died” 12 years later.

Broomie has lucked out. Back in my grass-cutting days, if the power mower wouldn’t start, I’d just revert to the old push-model….
