The lost art of reading a clock. I wonder if it’s harder to learn to tell time on an analogue device than, say, thread a tape recorder or movie projector.
Schools have realized the need to teach analog time because children learn more than what time it is. An analog clock face also teaches fractions and spatial relationships that are not available in digital time.
I always wear an analog watch when I go out. I forget the darn phone [when I remember to bring it along] also has the time. But no numbers would make it harder to tell time if you’re not used to one built that way.
