I get this. People seemed to have become gullible, they believe the news, the pulpit or social media without question.
In my day it was “question authority.” What happened to my contemporaries and their offspring? Is critical thinking dead? Lies, repeated, do not become the truth regardless of how big the crowd that shouts them is.
To be fair, so-called news has gone from informing us to entertaining us. With so many venues from which to choose, it is easy to find an “echo chamber” that spoon feeds you what you already believe. In fact it’s so easy it’s gone beyond spoon feeding, you can now get your “fix” intravenously.
I’ve never been comfortable letting other people do my thinking for me. In God I trust; all others must provide data.

My favorite Pogo quote.

“Soup to Nutz” often poked fun at the sacred and silly, it’s no longer available on this site.

Yes that famous, though a twisted quote, to mean something entirely different from the original. And it was and is a timely quote indeed.

Depends on the cartoonist. Some have proven to be just as gullible truth bending and one sided as all the rest of us common folk.
