    Good morning™, resourceful readers!

Sawtooth looks quite menacing in that first panel. That’s another spectacular close up. We’ve seen quite a few lately.

the big question is whether he ends up in jail or dead…..I’ll guess jail

question #2 is whether Tracy will need outside help or handle Sawtooth on his own….that’s the only fair way to judge, as it’s already been predetermined Dick will prevail in the end, lol. For instance, he was only 1 – 2 vs. Abner….

Good morning, jaded balloon sellers !

Pouch looks like some circus side show reject. Sawtooth is getting resourceful this time around.

Is Pouch some relation to Pruneface? I mean their faces have some resemblance.

You are right that Pouch somewhat resembles Pruneface. However, I don’t think there was ever any intent to have them be related. Pouch’s backstory is that he was a circus fatman, hugely overweight, and his doctor made him reduce. When he did, he developed the “pouch” in his neck from loose skin. When Gould introduced him in the early 70s, there was a continuity error – in one strip he specifically told his confederate at the time that the neck was the only place where his skin didn’t shrink. Some time later in that same story, his confederate asked him why his skin only failed to shrink at the neck, and he replied “It didn’t. I’ve got pouches all over me!” Gould never resolved the conflict. It may have been one of those Sunday/Daily discrepancies that often happened in this strip.

Once one quarter ton of man, the Pouch is but a shadow of his former self. Blasting caps in Johnny Scorn’s popcorn popper meant death for Scorn and revenge for Scorn’s culpability in Molene’s death. Pouch never faced charges, yet those who deal with him tend to meet bad ends. Those balloons are filled with bad karma.

This might signal the end of Pouch. If Chompers comes lookin for info and Pouch provides it, then say someone like, oh i dunno Samuel comes lookin for the scoop on Sawbaby and Pouch gives up a good tip, then i dont think good ol’ chompers wont be too keen on balloon boy flapping his gums and then lay the bite down on him

Sawtooth, menacing; seeking “resources” from the balloon guy in the park, Pouch!

Will Pouch rat out Tracy info to Sawtooth, and then rat out Sawtooth to the MCU? Selling balloons sure is a dangerous profession!
