Ah, Ginger, there are three answers to this question. Canehard mentioned only throwing a stone, not whether a bird was actually hit. You are right only if it missed the target but the birds were frightened. If they were not then the answer would be 5 birds. The third answer is 1 bird and that would be the bird that got hit. Perhaps there is a fourth answer and that is the one Canehard was looking for but that would rely on the other birds not giving a monkey’s about their mate being killed.

Graffiti: The back of an elephant is not a good place to be during a fireworks display. Elephants have no real capacity to distinguish between fireworks and apocolypse.
