That’s one thing that scares me about getting old (I’m early 50’s now) – I don’t want to get SLOW. I can still keep up with the prevailing speed on a city sidewalk with no problem, but if it ever takes me 15 minutes to walk two blocks I think I’ll just start staying home.
(However, I HAVE started keeping my seat on crowded busses, unless there’s someone else who obviously needs it more. If I’m standing and a seat opens up and the other standees are in their 20’s and 30’s, I no longer refuse to take it on principle…)
