Wouldn’t it be something if Marigold got to bring actual humans to the studio? Dakota and Phoebe might liven things up quite a bit. They seem to have a better show chemistry than Max and Phoebe.

I am reminded of a friend of mine who loved to study the different religions. Only he never once studied what the religions said about themselves. He would only read what others said about them. He would read what a Protestant said about the Catholics, what a Methodist said about Mormons, what a Lutheran said about the Jews, etc.

It struck me as rather bizarre.

I once attended a national convention of the Theodore Roosevelt Association. One of the guest speakers was a delightful gentleman from Denmark who was considered an expert on TR in his home country. In a private moment, he told me he had done a thesis on TR that eventually led to his being acknowledged as an authority on our 26th president. In Denmark, of course, he knew more than anyone else. He confided in me: “In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.”
