We had a scare yesterday. Smokey was very lethargic, wouldn’t eat and had what the vet described as a “wobbly head”, like she couldn’t quite hold it up. She had been lethargic and wouldn’t play her favorite game the previous evening when we got back from dinner, but we thought she was just mad at us for leaving them alone so much. We took her to an emergency vet, and $475 later she’s fine. They think she ate something that may have been a bit toxic Friday morning when I had her out on her leash. She does so love to munch on every blade of grass or green leaf she encounters. This morning, she’s her normal active self.
Off to services at my brother’s church this morning. He plays bass on his worship team.
And it is a good morning round here. The weather report says 83 degrees for a high with afternoon T-storms.
I had a fella in mind, he played an evil British officer in a couple of Daniel Boone episodes. He also played a ghost opposite Hope Lang in a short lived sitcom. And finally he was the head of a crime fighting foundation with hi tech tools. So, who am I talking about?
Going to be a nice day with temp in low 80’s and low humidity.
Had a good day at my son-in-law’s birthday party yesterday.18 people showed up. Lot of work for my daughter to put it on. When she has one, she goes all out. Of course we helped her out getting things ready the day before.
Going to church shortly and then crash when I get home.
We had a wind change, it was coming from the east, and it blew all the smoke away! How beautiful are our mountains!!! I’m sure it’ll be back, but for now it is gorgeous! I’ll be able to take my walk today.
Mark, I enjoyed The Ghost and Mrs. Muir with Edward Mulhare and Hope Lange. Also, we enjoyed the movie with Gene Tierney and Rex Harrison, and good ole George Sanders. For another trivia question………..who played the young girl depicting Anna Muir?
