Well, i prefer delightful.

Sad news – we had to let Puddin’ Pop cross that rainbow bridge this morning. She was a good, sweet, no trouble kitty and she had 2 good years with us that frankly, she probably would not have gotten around here because of the medical and food costs.

She was diagnosed on Wed with diabetes and the vet had high hopes for controlling it with insulin. However, she didn’t perk up at all and last night she started staggering like a drunken sailor. We started getting honey into her but she never changed. I was up all night watching her until Brad got up and 3 for work. Then I just could not keep my eyes open and went to bed for 3 hours. Called the vet at 8, went in at 9:30. Another test and the results were that she was what he called a “brittle diabetic”, meaning it was uncontrollable. We talked for a while and made the decision together that her quality of life was never going to get better so it was time.

Wasn’t it the Tom and Jerry cartoon that said “ I hate those meeces to pieces!” ?
