Second panel: Pulled-back shot of their silhouettes while Mallard makes a conservative point. Third panel – Liberal in background makes ridiculous counterpoint with Mallard in the foreground, often breaking out of the panel looking directly at reader with one eyebrow arched as if to say, “can you believe this?”
