That’s not true. My husband is European and thinks he has better design ideas and wants European (read: super expensive imported products) than anything found in America.
That’s the way it is at our house. I need some things replaced and/or fixed, but as long as it doesn’t interfere with meals being prepared, my husband could care less. Been needing a new fridge (it was 17 years old) for a while and I couldn’t get a new one until the freezer part gave out causing my husband’s ice cream to start melting.
The appearance of the kitchen means little to mean. The functionality, on the other hand, I really care about. I am the cook in our household and enjoy baking and making candy.
My ex was very skilled at maintenance and remodeling. Before we even met, he had already redone the entire kitchen in his mobile home just because he wanted to. (He didn’t cook at all.) Even in that small space, it was very efficient and easy to cook in, as well as looking nice, and I loved it. It just depends on the people involved, mostly.

Mr. Howtheduck often says that men only really care about food and women, so I expect he would agree with Elly 100%.

I’m not a usual man, then. I’ve spent a great deal of time and effort designing my new kitchen.

Even if he was interested, I doubt Georgia would let him voice any ideas of his own.

Umm, I am a man and this is just an outdated stereotype. I do all the cooking and baking and the dishes, so you can bet I care.
