Lupin, you forgot something. She’s alone with a toddler, a newborn, and three cats. AND at least one of those cats has admitted that he might be a toddler!
And now, let us fast-forward roughly 9-10 hours in anticipation of the man wearily opening the front door and lovingly asking the question men have regretted asking for millennia; “How was YOUR day?”
Oh my, the Woman is looking rather worried. I’m sure Puck will be helpful as always and Elvis will take his responsibilities of being Guardian of the Baby well in paw :)
“Wh… what… where?” Megan knew this was coming; “Just relax- more than anything, relax. To go forward from this point you need the senses you were born with more than anything else. A very wise human once wrote ‘To let understanding stop at what cannot be understood isa high achievement’. Humans tend to overthink, so this is doubly relevant.” Tre-C was looking around; “No problem there. I do not even begin to understand this…” Megan stood still alongsideTre-C; “In a way, that’s good. I mean, knowing you don’t understand something will make you wantto learn about it. I’ve met cats on the other side who were simply unaware. But for them it doesn’t matter; they have no frame of reference, they just keep going on. I have no idea what the humans would refer to this as, but I call it the slipstream. I’m usually not in here by myself, but I lead others. You are in my slipstream in here.” Tre-C was trying her best; “But where.is.here?” “Best I could ever figure is, nowhere. But what’s important is were it goes.” Tre-C just nodded. "I see. I mean, I don’t see. But that’s good, right?’’ “Essentially, yes..”
“Try this; think of something you like. A strong feeling, basic, maybe something recent. But certainly something good.” Tre-C stood for a second, then said; “bacon…. I smell bacon” “Walk toward it. I’m right behind you- I’ll slipstream you…” “Ok,” Tre-C thought. “Walk towards the bacon…” And as Megan instructed, she didn’t think. She just relaxed. She found her vision getting fuzzy, but there was little to focus on, anyway. And the bacon guided her. Then, suddenly, she was in the alley behind a busy restaurant. Still morning, they were cooking breakfast. Ham and eggs. Waffles. And; “Bacon!” “You did good, Kitten. I’ve slipstreamed cats three, four times before they found an exit.”
Dean has brought yet another moth into the house and they have some how managed to deposit it in my sandal … at least I’m assuming that’s why my sandal is now been batted around the kitchen floor. I suppose I’d better go check on what they’re doing, little monkeys
Oh! Poor Woman! I would be freaking out. Happy Caturday folks! (((((((((((((((((huge engulfing bear hugs, orb bumps and boops going out to everyone who needs them)))))))))))))))
Good morning and happy Caturday, orbsters and orbabies! It looks to be a quiet day here, for a change.
If Lupin and Puck do catly things, that will amuse the toddler while Elvis consoles and amuses the baby. This will give the woman time to channel her inner fortitude to face the day, or have another coffee (whichever works).
It is cute that the Woman and Puck have the same expression. Elvis to the rescue- he will put the Toddler and Baby down for naps, then snuggle with the Woman.
It’s Saucerday! A bit of cream in mine, thank you!
Swirls & swirls of kitty fur for your ankles! And lots of joyful little doggies doggin’ your every step! Blessings galore & orbs a buzzin’ for our friends with special needs! I love you all!!!!!
This is true: Someone once did an experiment at a day school. They brought in an entire college football squad to mind the children for one day. At the end of the day, the football players were totally exhausted. One remarked that it was harder than two-a-day practices in August. I hope they remembered the experience after they got married and had kids.
As for housework, this comes from a highly experienced orthopedic surgeon (mine). The activities that are hardest on the human spine, in order, are: Gymnastics, housework, sitting, and contact sports.
Love the Woman’s expression and the FANGS as the door clicks shut and the babies start to cry. Hang in there, Mom! I’m sure the cats will try to help in their cat ways.
What amazes me about Georgia is how much she does with two children, three cats, and I assume 1.5 full time jobs. “Homemaker” (or whatever the current PC term is) and parent comprise the half, I assume shared with Ryan. The other is professional comic artist. And she appears to be excellent at all of it. Most impressive, and she’s not even a Jedi, yet!
My first two kids were 14 months apart. One day I fed the kids, fed all the animals (horses, cattle, pigs, dogs, cats) read to kids, fed them again…realized mid-afternoon, that I had never fed myself… Also sold ads to appear in The Christian Science Monitor, back when they had local ads. So much fun! When I started doing carpentry work, man began to cook again, and he was so much better at it than I was.

So The Woman is the only adult with 3 cats, a toddler and a newborn. What could possibly go wrong?
