What is a cootie? Is viral, bacterial, or some kind small parasite like a beg bug?

Well, that’s one way to get rid of the girls! Good job, boys!

There’s also the old children’s game in which the goal is to complete adding parts to your plastic cootie bug. Played this when I was a kid in the ’50s. Sort of like Mister Potatohead.
