I have two senators who are great, Durbin and Duckworth, and one who was so great he became a really terrific president. Our reps, not so great, but don’t accept the idea that it is a universal trait of politicians to whim out. Many have been quite brave over many years.

The problems with painting all politicians with the same brush is that it tends to make people give up on all of them and quit trying to elect some good ones. And, when good people don’t vote, bad people get elected.

Sadly, my two senators, Yertle the Turtle McConshell, and Rand “The Twit-in-Training” Paul, have their heads so far up their bums that they can physically WATCH their spines turning into pudding!

It’s not only the spines that are lost. It’s the ethics and shame too.

Gotta stop with the hyperbole about politicians: it’s how we’ve ended up in the current mess AND continue to elect amateurs to the highest office in the Republic…

And, btw, our government was established to run on compromise. It takes a LOT more spine to agree to a compromise than to, childishly, dig one’s heels in and insist on “MY WAY!”

Unfortunately I have a Senator, Casey, that has no spine (and not much intelligence too) and just does whatever the leaders of his party tell him. At least my RINO Representative Dent is retiring.

I gave a ‘like’ to 99% today. I was ready to state me opinion…but you all said it all! My senators, both women, are doing a great job! However, they are still stymied by the total freeze of any imagination, reality and stagnation of this total Senate break down.

Why not cover all the bases from the get-go? Say “if and when they become career lawyers or career politicians.”
