You’d think MIttens would be happy to find out he and the dog are not biologically related.

Brother, not by blood, but bonded and litter mates. And brothers by Angie’s choice.

Our two have the same colouring (blue point), so when we take them out on their harnesses and leads we get asked if they’re related. Two rescues, a year apart, approx. four years difference in age. But hey, they get along better than any pair of cats we’ve ever had, so maybe they are a defacto brother and sister.

I’m pretty sure that my daughter’s cats think my granddaughter is their sister. Kind of hairless and funny-looking, but still theirs…

We now have two dogs, same color, different breeds (Shiba and Lab) that match – and the Shiba is way feistier even though he is a year younger (both seniors – one 12, one 13) and they act more like me and my brother did… bicker bicker… oy veh.

My german shepherd (who I miss dearly) always thought I was his real mom. He was Velcro dog. I could not walk 2 feet without him RIGHT THERE.

    They are all characters.

Oh Mitty, sometimes being chosen is better than blood related. You know you are loved by choice. Pssss Earl loves you too. We all do
