Good Morning Everyone.

I’ve heard of graft and corruption, but corruption of a graft?

Makes it hard to sit down, doesn’t it?

How will that help Timmy when he falls in the well?

Some days ago, Grog, known to me as Fellow Baby had inquired about Carmy. She had not posted for a while. It was not appropriate at that time, to reveal what was going on. I and some of us, JFri, Cleo, Akenta, johnnydoc, Shikamoo, TabbyLynn, Marg have known Carmy for a long time (for myself, I can say 2 years). Myself and the aforementioned, have exchanged more than just postings on gocomics, we have shared our lives, our ups and downs, good times, much laughter and much fun. Some of us originally met at Winnie the Pooh then as we got bigger, we moved on to Prickly City, then Big Top. We were the original Tribe as they call it. Carmy, after a very long 4 year battle with cancer, has lost the fight. Such courage and strength, and faith in God I have never seen in anyone before. She was and is, an inspriation to all of us. And her sense of humor never waivered, even in the most difficult of moments, she found something to hang on to, to believe in and to laugh at. It’s hard for some to imagine how close one can become to someone they have never met in person. I have no reply to that, except that the chemistry is just there. Carmy was a wonderful, kind, courageous lady, a loving mother and wife, and you girl, were a wonderful Girlfriend! and with that I will say, for myself, “I’ll see ya’ when I see ya’, to which Carmy would reply “Not if I see you first!” You my friend shall be missed by your friends, your Locos, more than you know! Thank you for inviting us into your life and being the loving, caring friend we knew and loved.

Marg wanted to add the following: “I didn’t get the pleasure of knowing Carmy for as long as Dry did, but I liked her right from the very start. She was feisty, funny, brave, and had a big heart. She loved her girls as much as a Mother could. I shall always think of her with her machetes, ready to do battle against evil, just like a comic strip heroine. We miss you, our well loved friend.”

I have shed many a tear over the last few hours. Carmy was always upbeat and ready to comfort those that needed it. I feel as if she were family and she is, my gocomics family.

Thank you Thom for your tribute to Carmy. I am sure she is clutching her machete and ready to keep us in line.

I have shared many laughs with her and many of the rest of you and am happy that because of gocomics and comics like Thom’s that I had an opportunity to get to know so many nice people.

He’s going to need that sock again.

very well said. i would like to say something also.

would like to add that she was like a mom to me, she was there for me and she loved me as a daughter. she was the best friend i could ask for. i miss her much. But i know she is in a better place, her faith never weavered. she was strong and brave, for us and for her children. I love her so much. I once told her that i was there to help her with the girls and just hug her and tell her it would be okay, to which she replied, that she would be the one hugging me and telling me it would be okay. that was carmy, strong. i love her dearly

Goodbye Carmy. You will be missed.

Fellow Baby, thank you for keeping me posted, as sad and depressing this new may be – especially this time of year. You will be missed Carmy. I loved your sense of humor and the occasional hugs that you gave to fellow Tribe members in need. I will also miss our discussions about our classic movie favorites. I will especially think of you every time I watch an Abbott & Costello movie from my collection. My heartfelt condolences go out to Carmy’s familiy & Friends. (((Carmy, Family & Friends)))

Fellow BirdBrainers: Thank you for keeping Carmy’s memory alive here. She was a very special lady, and just seeing her youthful smiling face makes me cry. She fought with machetes and loved just as fiercely.

Hi All,

I don’t know what to say about losing our Carmy - and she was ours - as much a part of our family as any of us. I will miss her greatly. I’m posting “her” cartoon tomorrow as a tribute to our well-loved, much respected and greatly missed sister in our Birdbrains family and the Tribe.

I appreciate all of you very, very much and I am truly honored to see the outpouring of love for another on my cartoon page. You have all honored this cartoon in a way that cannot truly be expressed in words. Like love, you know it when you feel it, but fully expressing can be very difficult.

Thank you all for being such sensitive and wonderful folks. I’ve always said Birdbrains readers are the best - you’ve proven that understatement by the words you shared today.

God bless all of you. God bless Carmy and her family in this very tough time.

Wow! I’m playing catch-up with my toons and I’m SO sorry that Carmy has passed. Only sorry for us though, because she’s probably in a much happier place now. May light perpetual shine upon her!
