Normally we see Chepe and Pepe as old, white-haired guys sitting on a park bench with their canes. I guess I never realized HOW old they were!

One of my Spanish professors had an interesting idea on the founding of Tenochitlan. Tired of being a nomadic tribe, the priests got together and hatched a plan to look for a sign – any “sign” – from their gods that they could use to say they should stop and build a city. They just lucked out when they saw the eagle eating a serpent on a cactus.
