Arthur I’m showing a high of 81 today, but tomorrow goes up to 90 for a couple of days.
I went shopping with my SIL and niece yesterday at a place called “The Christmas Tree Stores”. It has nothing to do with Christmas, but is a huge variety store with a bit of everything. It reminded me of a cross between a dollar store and Hobby Lobby (without the hobby supplies). It’s one of those places that you can spend a lot of money on impulse buying. I bought a collapsible cat perch/scratching post/dangly toy that Smokey immediately fell in love with. She treats it like a jungle gym and is so much fun to watch.
Not much on the agenda today. Don & Ruth are both back at work. Their oldest daughter hasn’t been around much, so we’re taking her and her family out for pizza later so we can catch up. That just leaves two of the nephews that we haven’t seen yet. One of them lives in Freeport (our next campground) and I’m not sure about the other one. I hope we get a chance to say hi before we leave next week.
Everyone have a blessed day, even though it is Monday. Oh wait! I’m retired!
It’s our turn for cooler weather this week. Only got up to 69 yesterday, and woke up to a lovely rain shower. We have to cover our tomatoes and eggplant and peppers because it’s supposed to get down to 36 tonight. Brrr!
The Christmas Tree Stores………sounds intriguing. Just one more place we don’t have up here. Bummer.
The only thing planned today is to wrap and box our 4 year old’s birthday box and run down to the post office to mail it. I trimmed back and dried all our herbs yesterday, so we just have to cover what’s left tonight. A nice relaxing day.
