A stable transfer from one hospital to another is not faster. It can be postponed for hours if ambulances are busy with true emergencies. Also, they will not come pick up a patient simply because they call if they know they are either in the ER waiting room or an inpatient. Dispatch will call the hospital and tell the staff they are getting calls from the person.
