I would like to think that they’re not too far from Wallace the Brave’s stomping grounds. I bet RT would have agreed to a crossover if he were still around (RIP, Richard!).
Today’s comic is a scene from my life. My wife’s grandfather bought a little rustic beach cabin in about 1960 (when beach property was much cheaper than now). More recently, people have built a lot of beach McMansions on and near the same beach. But our extended family and many friends still have a great time in grandfather’s cottage, which looks very much like the “runty stunted” one in the last panel.
Is it a coincidence or a conspiracy that both Cul de Sac and Fox Trot have identical plot lines about the stereotypical bumbling comic father choosing an utterly inappropriate vacation place? Here’s it’s “Geek’s Neck,” there it’s “Skeeter Falls.”

I think I remember that place from their last trip to the beach! Woulda been better if they’d brought a couple of tents :)

Reminds of a trip my family took to the Pacific coast many years ago. Stayed in an A frame.
