What some consider hateful is merely a challenge to their thought process. And is it any wonder why cannot have an honest, mature, open conversation of opposing ideas?
I’ve lived a long life (83 years+) and I can’t remember people EVER being this outspoken, opinionated and belligerent. Somehow I think it’s because of the accessibility and platforms to speak up more. We seem to demand more freedom to do so. I find myself as bad as some others now! And sadly, I prefer it. So, either we learn to be more accepting of what others have to say also, or there will be more of us willing to select the “yes” button. I fear tolerance has somehow lost its way however and that IS sad!
In the past two years I have noticed an increase in the number of comic authors who have introduced slightly political angles on their normally funny scenarios. It’s as if they are becoming trolls for the commenters. Does anyone else see this?

The next step would be voting machines that say “You’re about to vote for someone hateful . . .”

Soon, there’ll be a notice saying, “Are you sure you want to snark on this comic?”.
