I know I said this just a few strips ago but I would never leave my dog unattended. It is too risky. We even have locks on the gates of his fenced in outdoor kennel

Why do people take their dogs with them while shopping? Wouldn’t it make sense to leave them home? I wouldn’t want to tie up my dog like this. I haven’t seen this (luckily) in a very long time.

I like the last one best!

My pitbull is never left alone but she is definately the last one. She will do anything for a little attention.

In Grand Lake Colorado, there is an owner’s dog lying in every store doorway. You generally have to step over them.

I have only done this once.

Sweetheart is a combination of #3 and #4.

Watch the door intently, while being everyones friend.

This depends totally on the area you live in. I am in a VERY VERY rural area in Maryland (I have to drive half hour to GET to the Amish settlements) so leaving my dog outside a store is not horrible. EVERYONE here has dogs.

Having said that, I have 3 dogs. I would not leave my shiba inu unattended – because he is way too cute. My lab mix maybe, he is a senior and folks generally wouldn’t mess with him (he is a 100 pound dog). We also have a puppy who is growing fast that we are keeping an eye on (he hurt his hind leg). So for us, it would depend on which dog.

Nope would never leave my dog unattended either.

because the dogs enjoy the car ride…? or the walk…

It totally depends on the area and situation. I always like living in places where this is a normal part of life… some places even have hitching posts set up for pups !
